The Fujifilm X-Half is a compact digital camera that brings vintage charm and creative flexibility to the modern age, inspired by traditional half-frame film cameras. Lightweight at just 240g, and loaded with Fujifilm’s renowned colour science, it offers a nostalgic shooting experience with the convenience of cutting-edge digital technology.
Equipped with a 1-inch back-illuminated sensor and a fixed 32mm f/2.8 lens (35mm equivalent), the X half delivers sharp, vibrant images in a pocketable body. The 3:4 vertical LCD layout and optical viewfinder mirror the camera’s portrait-first orientation—ideal for creators who shoot with mobile or social platforms in mind.
At the heart of the X half’s innovation is the 2-in-1 mode, which lets users combine two vertical images or videos into one side-by-side composition—perfect for storytelling, comparison shots, or visual juxtapositions. This can be done in-camera using the manual frame advance lever, or via the dedicated X half app, which enables further editing and customisation.
For analog photography fans, the new “Film Camera Mode” adds authenticity. You choose a film simulation and number of exposures up front, use the manual frame advance lever after each shot, and can’t review images until they’re “developed” in the app—just like real film. The experience is enhanced with creative filters like Light Leak, Halation, and Expired Film, plus 13 Film Simulations, including the new REALA ACE.
The dual rear LCD touchscreen interface enables intuitive swiping, flicking, and control of settings. Paired with the X half app, users can view, edit, and share images, or send them directly to instax™ Link series printers to create physical prints with ease.
