Diamonds Camera and Video was opened more than 30 years ago by Jim and Chris Diamantis. The company is Adelaide's largest retailer of photographic products and offers a range of products and services unsurpassed in South Australia.

About Us

Diamonds Camera, Video, and Digital are situated in the center of Adelaide at 165 Rundle Street. The store is located in the Rundle Street car park building and physically occupies 4 tenancies. Over the years we have had three expansions since the initial opening of Diamonds at the Rundle Street location and have now produced a spacious store with room for customers to browse the extensive range of products on offer.


Product Range

We pride ourselves on having the largest camera range, best advice, and the lowest price. If you've found a better offer somewhere else, let us know and we'll do our best to beat it.

We have a large range of DSLR, Compact, and Mirrorless Digital Cameras. We also have an extensive range of bags, cases, tripods, drones, and binoculars. Our expert staff have years of experience and technical knowledge and are always willing to help you in choosing the right camera for your needs. We offer Free Training Courses for every camera purchased as well as "learn at home" tutorials and ongoing and seasonal events. We offer Events and education for photographers of all levels of experience, students just beginning their journey & enthusiasts who know what they like and enjoy photography.

Photo Lab

We have a Photolab for all your printing needs. We use Fujifilm kiosks to make your print ordering experience a breeze. We understand how important your special memories are and use Fujicolour Crystal Archive Paper and regularly do maintenance on our machines so your high-quality prints will last for more than a lifetime. You can bring your memory card in or use your mobile phone with the TransPix app to wirelessly transfer your photos to print.

Company History

Diamond Photographics was founded in 1982 by brothers Jim and Chris Diamantis. The store was initially a camera repair business but soon expanded into camera sales. Since then, the store has expanded and quickly become South Australia's number one camera store and one of the leading independent camera stores in Australia.

The Name Transitions

The company has evolved with the industry and our name reflects it. Through the last three decades, Diamonds has transitioned its name showcasing our commitment to the latest technology.

Diamond Photographics
Diamonds were initially known as Diamond Photographics. Its primary business was camera sales and repairs. It was one of the first such stores in South Australia and soon became the leader.

Diamonds Camera and Video
As technology increased and video cameras became more affordable, Diamonds soon expanded into the then very new video camera industry. The first models included the Canon and Panasonic Super 8 versions, soon after being replaced by VHS and VHS-C.

With digital imaging now such a major part of the business, Diamonds more recently modified its name to include the "digital" component. This makes it clear that Diamonds is at the fore-front of technology as it is constantly re-engineering itself to incorporate the new technological advancements that this exciting industry creates. Digital cameras are now a major part of the business making up a substantial component of all items sold.


Delivery

All our parcels are sent to you either by StarTrack Express couriers or Australia Post eParcel. We also offer Click and Collect in store if you are located in Adelaide or South Australia. Our customers receive free shipping on all orders over $99 and this service is something we have always provided. Delivery will usually take between 1-2 business days to any metropolitan area, and 3-5 working days to rural or remote areas.

The reason we have chosen StarTrack and Australia Post eParcel because they specialise in the express, reliable freight, and delivery services. Their 'one-stop-shop' capabilities and integrated network, offers you the most reliable, efficient, and cost-effective express delivery service in the industry. With both StarTrack and Australia Post eParcel you will receive tracking details so that you can watch the progress of you package as it makes it's way to your preferred delivery address.

Delivery Requirements

We ONLY send to listed addresses that can be found in the Australian White Pages.

Alternatively, if you have a silent number or do not appear in the white pages, a work address will be acceptable. The address must be listed or have a current up to date website so we can confirm details.

We also have alternative payment options you can use such as PayPal and ZIP. If you use either of these payment methods we will send to any address that suits your needs or you are welcome to collect your equipment in store if you are based in Adelaide.

At our discretion, we also may refuse to send to a unit or apartment block if we decide that it is an unsafe or difficult delivery location for our courier.

Issues With Delivery Or Goods Damaged In Transit

Where there is an issue with delivery or the condition of goods delivered, diamondscamera.com.au must be notified of any such issues as soon as the customer becomes aware. Items are always delivered within 7-10 business days to even the most remote locations. We, therefore, will not be made liable for non-delivery or damaged items if we are notified outside of 14 days from the day of the verbal phone confirmation and despatch.

Pricing, Exchanges, Refunds & Returns

We aim to always display accurate and correct pricing on our website. If a price is found to be incorrect at the time of order processing, we will immediately notify you of the correct price or offer an immediate refund. We have the right to not ship an item that has been displayed at an incorrect price.

We generally do not exchange, refund, or return an item once it has been purchased but in certain cases, we will make exceptions.

Re-Stocking Fee:
$20 for orders under $1000
2% of the return item value for items over $1001

Any freight and insurance costs to return the item to us are also at your expense. This includes the liability for any lost freight so we suggest using a courier or registered mail.

Exchange & Return Requirements

Exchanged/returned products must be in brand new, mint condition.
Items must be in the original, undamaged manufacturer's packaging with all packaging materials, including instruction booklets, packing inserts, plastic bags, and the blank warranty cards.
The manufacturer's labeled packaging must be enclosed within a new shipping carton.
Please note that the warranty card must not be filled out.
