The ECM-M1 extends the beamforming technology used in the ECM-B1M and ECM-B10 microphones to provide a wide variety of pickup patterns, suitable for multiple roles in a production environment. Simply turn the rear dial on the ECM-M1 and it transforms from a highly directional shotgun to a general-purpose omni, from a conversational stereo mic to a specialized front-andrear microphone. Not only does the ECM-M1 deliver in a wide range of roles, but it also simplifies camera setup and prevents production errors by supplying microphone power direct from the camera body, ensuring a simple, intuitive connection process.
