Product Description

Details

Lumix G 14mm/F2.5 ASPH Micro 4/3rds Interchangeable lens

Single focal length lens for wide angle shooting

A wide angle of view and outstanding depth of field make this pancake-type wide angle lens a good choice for both snapshots and landscapes.

Rendering high-contrast images across the entire frame and correcting distortion, this super-thin lens is especially ideal for capturing subjects that are primarily linear, such as buildings with a number of straight lines. Its simple lens construction (six elements in five groups, including three glass aspherical lenses) delivers both high performance and an astonishingly compact size.

MTF Chart

For the lenses distortion compensation available, the horizontal axis of MTF is the distance from the center, which is compensated accordingly.

Lens Construction

Aspherical lenses

These lenses prevent spherical and distortion aberrations, so higher magnification can be achieved with fewer lenses. Resulting in smaller size and weight, these lenses feature the high dimensional accuracy of Panasonic’s cutting-edge production technologies, including concave lenses that measure just 0.3mm at their thinnest part.

Lenses manufactured with uncompromising devotion to high image quality
The production process for Lumix G and LEICA DG lenses is conducted in ‘clean rooms’ to rigorous environmental standards. Now acclaimed worldwide, our UA3P Ultra-Accurate 3D Profilometer, with its measurement accuracy of 1/10,000mm, gives objective numerical evaluations and detects flaring, colour coatings and the ‘feel’ of the focus ring.

An original lens-drive motor for high-precision, high-speed contrast AF
Lumix G and Leica DG lenses incorporate a unique ‘stepping motor’ with a screw unit in the motor shaft that moves the focus lens directly, without relay gears or cams. Information transfers from lens to camera faster, making auto focus swift and accurate with reduced drive noise for better movie recording.
