Set, shoot and playback at the touch of a finger

Touch control makes the DMC-GF2 easy to operate. The auto focus is immediately set to the subject by just touching it on the large, 460,000-dot LCD. You can also operate the auto focus and shutter release at the same time with just a touch, meaning you can easily catch fast-action sports shots when your subject is on the move. The touch-screen operation excels not only for shooting but also for playing back images with outstanding visibility. You can drag the image across the screen with a finger to browse a collection of photos just like flipping over the pages of a book.

See your shot before you take it with Fulltime Live View

The DMC-GF2's Full-time Live 100% View lets you see what effect you will achieve by adjusting the exposure, white balance, aperture and even the shutter speed.. This makes it easier to capture a special shot or particular kind of image without shooting again and again.

Full HD video gives outstanding quality in movies and stills

Record Full-HD 1920 x 1080 movies in AVCHD format with the superior sound quality of Dolby® Digital Stereo Creator. A dedicated button lets you instantly start recording movies without having to make any extra settings. The popular iA Mode is available in motion image recording and the Touch AF in movie recording lets you enjoy professional-level rack focusing. With the Video Divide function, you can divide a single video into two parts using only the camera, plus The DMC-GF2 can save a frame of movie as a photo during playback.

iA (Intelligent Auto) does the thinking so you don?t have to

An incredible range of shoot-assist modes will bring out the professional photographer in everyone. The DMC-GF2 features My Colour Mode with a total of 8 preset modes, including Cinema Mode which gives the movie cinema-like gradation. In iA Mode and My Colour Mode, the range of defocus can be adjusted by just moving the slider with your finger. There is also a total of 17 Scene Modes and most of these modes can be used when shooting movies too.

VIErA Link Networking

Both photos and movies on SD Memory Cards are easy to view on a Panasonic VIErA TV with dynamic HD resolution. You simply insert the card into the Image Viewer on a VIErA TV or Blu-ray Disc Player/Recorder to play the content. Alternatively, an optional HDMI mini cable can be used to output photos and movies recorded with the DMC-GF2 directly to the TV for easy VIErA Link operation. Pictures taken with the optional interchangeable LUMIX G 12.5mm / F12 3D lens can be viewed in 3D via the 3D Image Viewer, offering you a whole new exciting experience.

3D Shooting Capability
